MAPPING AND CATEGORIZING OF AVAILABLE KNOWLEDGE AND DATA ON TECHNICAL, REGULATORY AND MARKET FACTORS INFLUENCING THE BUSINESS OF LFM
Working Group 2.2Presentations of about 5 reports from selected countries incl. e.g. knowledge and data on
(1) landfills and landfill management,
(2) regulatory conditions for LFM,
(3) typical cost for technical LFM/landfill management processes,
(4) domestic waste markets, their gate requirements and related costs/revenues,
(5) experiences of drivers, enablers and barriers from conducted LFM/landfill management projects,
(6) ... etc.
Workshop I: Developing a structured overview of factors that influence the business case of LFM over the value chain, specifying related uncertainties/knowledge gaps and variations among different settings and regions.
Workshop II: Open time slot for discussions about research proposals, joint papers and focus areas for upcoming WG activities
- Site visit to Kudjape landfill.
Outputs
(1) Written WG meeting report incl. country reports and workshop activities,
(2) Tentative list of country-specific data on economic costs and benefits of processes and markets of relevance for LFM,
(3) List of actors, activities and available sources of information on LFM in different countries.
